Tadalista 5 mg and Viagra are both medications used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED), but they are not the same. Tadalista contains tadalafil as its active ingredient, while Viagra contains sildenafil. Both belong to a class of drugs called PDE5 inhibitors, which work by increasing blood flow to the penis to help achieve and maintain an erection during sexual stimulation.

The main differences are in duration and onset. Tadalafil (Tadalista) can last up to 36 hours, earning it the nickname “the weekend pill,” whereas sildenafil (Viagra)  Tadalista 5 mg lasts 4–6 hours. Tadalafil can also be taken daily at lower doses, while Viagra is usually taken as needed, about an hour before sexual activity. The onset of action is slightly slower for Tadalista (around 30–60 minutes) compared to Viagra (around 30–45 minutes).

Side effects are similar, including headache, flushing, nasal congestion, and dizziness. However, people with certain heart conditions or taking nitrates must avoid both medications due to the risk of a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Choosing between them often depends on how long you want the effect to last, how often you engage in sexual activity, and your doctor’s advice.
