Zhewitra 40 mg is unlikely to affect male fertility directly, but the evidence in humans is limited. Zhewitra contains vardenafil, a medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction. Icon Medex +1 What does it mean for fertility? Sperm count: There is insufficient evidence to determine whether regular use of vardenafil affects sperm count. Sperm movement and shape: A single 20 mg dose did not affect sperm motility or morphology in healthy male volunteers. However, this does not establish the effects of repeated use or the  Zhewitra 40 mg dose. Access Data +1 Testosterone: Vardenafil is not a testosterone supplement and is not intended to increase testosterone levels. Ability to conceive: By improving erections, vardenafil may help some men have intercourse when trying to conceive. It is not a fertility treatment itself. Is 40 mg safe when trying for a baby? Do not assume that 40 mg is safer or more effective than lower doses. The usual maximum recommended dose of vardenafil for erectile dysfunction is 20 mg once daily; Zhewitra 40 mg exceeds this recommended dose and should not be used without specialist medical advice. DailyMed +1 If you are trying to conceive, speak with a doctor before using this strength, particularly if you have concerns about sperm quality.
