Vilitra 60 is classified as a PDE5 inhibitor because its active ingredient, vardenafil, works by blocking the action of the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5). PDE5 is naturally found in the body, particularly in the smooth muscle cells of the penis. Here's why and how Vilitra 60 functions as a PDE5 inhibitor: 1. Role of PDE5 in the Body: PDE5 is an enzyme that regulates the levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), a molecule that helps relax the smooth muscle tissue in the blood vessels. In a normal process, when you're sexually aroused, your body releases nitric oxide, which increases the levels of cGMP, causing blood vessels in the penis to relax and dilate, allowing for more blood flow.

PDE5 breaks down cGMP, limiting this relaxation and reducing blood flow, which can lead to difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection (erectile dysfunction or ED). 2. How  Vilitra 60 Works: Vardenafil, the active ingredient in Vilitra 60, works by inhibiting PDE5. By blocking PDE5, vardenafil prevents the breakdown of cGMP, allowing cGMP to accumulate and continue promoting the relaxation of smooth muscle and vasodilation (widening of blood vessels) in the penis.

This increased blood flow helps men with ED achieve and sustain an erection when they are sexually stimulated. 3. Increased Effectiveness: Vilitra 60 is a higher dose formulation of vardenafil compared to other versions like Vilitra 20. The increased dosage allows for a more potent effect, which can be beneficial for individuals with more severe ED. 4. Duration and Timing: Like other PDE5 inhibitors, Vilitra 60 typically starts working within 30 to 60 minutes and can last up to 4-5 hours, providing enough time for sexual activity and improved erectile function during this period.
