I wanted to open up a discussion about Oxycodone, since it’s one of the more commonly prescribed pain medications out there, and I know a lot of people have different experiences with it. Oxycodone is an opioid usually given for moderate to severe pain, whether it’s after surgery, an injury, or for chronic conditions. It comes in different forms, including immediate-release (for quick relief) and extended-release (for long-lasting control).

From what I’ve read, dosages can range quite a bit — starting as low as 5mg and going all the way up to 80mg for patients with high tolerance. Doctors usually start with the lowest effective dose and adjust as needed. Some people say Oxycodone works really well to manage pain and helps them get back to daily activities, while others mention side effects like drowsiness, constipation, or nausea.

There’s also the important issue of dependence and tolerance, since it’s an opioid. A lot of medical professionals emphasize taking it exactly as prescribed and not stopping suddenly without a doctor’s advice.
