Duratia 60 mg contains dapoxetine, a short-acting SSRI used for premature ejaculation (PE). Whether it can be used with antidepressants depends on the specific drug, but in general combining it with antidepressants is often not recommended without medical supervision. Why the combination is risky Duratia already affects serotonin levels. Many antidepressants also increase Duratia 60 mg (especially SSRIs and SNRIs). Using them together can increase the risk of serotonin syndrome, a potentially serious condition. Antidepressants that are usually NOT combined with Duratia Avoid or use only under strict doctor guidance if you are taking: SSRIs (e.g., fluoxetine, sertraline, paroxetine, escitalopram) SNRIs (e.g., venlafaxine, duloxetine) Tricyclic antidepressants (e.g., amitriptyline, clomipramine) MAO inhibitors (strictly contraindicated) Possible risks of combining Serotonin syndrome (agitation, sweating, fast heartbeat, tremor, confusion) Increased dizziness or fainting (low blood pressure) Nausea, headache, and sleep disturbances Worsened sexual side effects (reduced libido or delayed orgasm) When it might be considered In some special cases, a doctor may: Adjust antidepressant dose Switch medications Monitor carefully if combination is necessary But this is not a self-medication combination. Simple summary Duratia 60 mg should generally not be taken with antidepressants unless a doctor specifically approves it, because both affect serotonin and can cause serious side effects when combined.
