Rolls-Royce has often said that silence is the ultimate luxury, and in the Phantom, that principle comes to life. In fact, during its development, engineers made the Phantom the quietest car in the world. More than 130 kilograms of soundproofing material is used throughout the car, including dense foam, double-glazed windows, and insulation between the layers of metal in the floor and doors.

Even the tires are specially developed to reduce noise. Rolls-Royce worked with tire manufacturers to create “Silent-Seal” tires, which contain a layer of foam inside that absorbs vibrations and road noise. The result is a cabin so serene that normal conversations can be held in whispers—even at highway speeds. Driving or riding in the Phantom is often compared to floating through space—it’s that quiet and smooth.
